WD66 Glazing

Standard glazing is tempered insulated glass, installed from the factory. Insulated Low-E glass, single tempered or laminated glazing is available as options. Please contact NanaWall for many other types of glazing that are available. See the Specifications Section of each system for more details.

Glazing Area Options

Most commercially available glazing such as insulated Low-E glass can be used with a NanaWall. Custom layouts with horizontal mullions, simulated divided lites, inserts and high bottom rails are available

Glass used must meet or exceed the standards and dimension tolerances set forth in the sample specifications below. The glass weight should not exceed 30 kilograms/ sq. m. (6 lbs/sq.ft.)

SOME GLAZING AND SAMPLE GLASS SPECIFICATIONS

TEMPERED SINGLE GLAZING

Supply glass with glass setting blocks in accordance with the schedule set forth in the Architect approved drawings with glass stops and gasket for “dry” glazing supplied by NanaWall Systems, Inc. Float glass shall be of ______ thickness and ___________ color, be fully tempered and meet the current requirements of ASTM C 1036 “Standard Specification for Flat Glass” for quality, thickness and dimensional tolerances. Tempered float glass shall meet the current requirements of ASTM C 1048 “Standard Specification for Heat-Treated Flat Glass - Kind HS, Kind FT Coated and Uncoated Glass”. All Tempered glass shall have a permanent logo, which signifies Safety Commission 16 CFR-1201 and the safety glass test requirements of ANSI Z 97.1 (current editions).

DOUBLE INSULATED GLAZING

Supply and install glass with glass setting blocks in accordance with the schedule set forth in the Architect approved drawings with glass stops and gasket for “dry” glazing supplied by NanaWall Systems, Inc. All double pane Insulating Glass Units shall consist of a Tempered exterior (clear, tinted, reflective or Low-E or other) ____________ glass, be of ______ thickness and a (air, argon or other) ___________ airspace and a Tempered interior (clear, Low-E or other) _________ glass. The glass components of Insulating Glass shall be fully tempered and meet the current requirements of ASTM C 1036 “Standard Specification for Flat Glass” for quality, thickness and dimensional tolerances. Tempered float glass shall meet the current requirements of ASTM C 1048 “Standard Specification for Heat-Treated Flat Glass - Kind HS, Kind FT Coated and Uncoated Glass”. Insulating Glass shall meet the requirements of ASTM E 774, Class (A,B, or C) _____, when tested in accordance with ASTM E 773 by an independent testing laboratory.
